I never tire of these hills

Another Pentlands Sunday morning.
Very frosty - I was sliding all over. Added a minute or so to the usual time to the top. 18 min 54 seconds today.

Pentlands, early 16 December
Early yesterday morning in the Pentlands. Everything was frosty. The ground crunched underfoot and, as I walked in the quiet air, I thought that it was like stepping on a tray of cornflakes. A beautiful morning, with misty pink sunshine. Some precious space and solitude in these most familiar of hills. I know the paths, but more now I know the very gradients. Familiar and comforting.

Kettlebell Workshop
I spent yesterday afternoon at a workshop organised by Rannoch Donald of Kettlebells Scotland.
Here are a few photos, including me knocking out a pistol (one leg squat). I can't always do these so was chuffed to be able to get one in this company.

Then a practising the snatch.
It was a good afternoon. Learned a few things and it was good to meet up with some new people and also actually to meet people that I'd previously only met with over the internet, like the guys from CrossFit in Motherwell.
Photo below is Rannoch demonstrating the clean.
