After the exertions of Sunday on La Maroma, Monday was very much chilling out around the village. Lunch was taken at the Balcon de Frigiliana where we had the very reasonable menu del dia. Gazpachio again and then fish in a nice sauce. It was really well presented, gourmet style, finshed off with a coffee.
I am getting a reputation from this blog about all the wine that was consumed on this trip. Apologies there is a bottle in this photo too.
The afternoon, was spent reading and then I had a wander around the village. From the square behind the apartments there is a great view of La Puerta:
I carried on up into town and was stunned watching another sunset. The descent of the sun behind the palm tree was magical.
We had tea at a tapas place. The next day was another walk. Returning to a favourite from last year, the Rio Verde. But this time we were goign to do a longer walk and explore some paths that John had not yet been on. Exciting.

That first picture has me salivating Chris. That coffee looks absolutely divine. I do like a real coffee, especially with a view.
Ooooh, I feel so homesick when I read blogs about stunning walks in Andalucia ... I canyoned the Rio Verde sometime ago too - that was a WOW experience too.
Would you be willing to consider staying at my home out there next time? I ask because I used to run it as a B&B, but my son's education had to come first so we came back.
I hate to think of my glorious house being empty while I do the right thing, so am trying to rent her out without broad scattering her across people who wouldn't understand the beauty of inland Spain and stunning walks ...
If you have a look at the website, would you let me know what you think?
Thanks so much
